Society in Southeast Asia has probably been more cautious in opening up after the pandemic than some other regions, but face to face meetings are now back and we have been busy getting out and meeting as many old and new friends as possible in the region. One post-pandemic initiative has been the Kuala Lumpur Geoscientists Group (KLGG), which now aims to meet monthly as a social forum with a Geoscience Lecture Series. Steve Noon, our regional representative, has been a strong supporter of the KLGG and FGL were proud sponsors of their first ever meeting in May 2022, when lectures included “S.E. Asia: $100 Oil and Geoscience” and “Thriving through Geoscience: Petroleum, Transition, and Renewables”
